I'm considering shutting down my dA account, since deviantArt has become a haven for wannabe-anime artists, myspace whores who know how to apply a filter in photoshop, and angsty young teens (or people in the mindset of). Any time that I see something of interest when I come onto the front page of dA, it's gone almost instantly, replaced by a wave of shitty anime-esc drawings and fan-fic drawings.

Oh, not to forget fucking posers! (I mean people that just use poser models, because they can't make their own). We get it, you can take someone else' shitty model, throw it into a Gary's Mod type program, and position them. You're not an artist, and you're not doing anything impressive by posing your 3D Lara Croft or fairy models in a sexually compromising position, you're just fucking lame. Why not take the time, shell out the cash and diligence necessary to work in Maya/3DS/Zbrush and create your own scene rather than using someone else' dumbed down version.

I'm done with this, it's just annoying. Sadly, Flickr is possibly going shut down, which does not make me a happy camper, since it is like dA, except without masses of shitty artwork.
